I cannot take a picture in the dark to save my life so don't take these initial shots very seriously.  They are taken with a little HP 3MP camera that I have yet to master so the pics are fairly overexposed.  This makes it seem bright in the room when it's really not and the colors get washed out on the screen, though you can still decipher the resolution fairly well.  In reality, the colors are fairly well saturated and the image is sharp enough that I can clearly see the rows and columns of pixels if I get within 3 feet of the screen.  The other factor that makes these pics craptastic is the fact that we're using a white bed sheet taped to the wall that is letting lots of light pass through, which is bad since it's draped over a doorway.

The monitor is running in 1024x768 mode with 32-bit color and 75 Hz vertical refresh rate.  All settings are at default except for contrast, which is cranked all the way up.
